‘National Excellence Award’ to Zsuzsanna Fejes and Anikó Szalai

1.723 researchers were awarded some kind of scholarship in the framework of TÁMOP 4.2.4. A/2-11-1-2012-0001 ‘National Excellence Program’, between 2012 and 2015. As the closing of this program, 102 researchers received the ‘National Excellence Award’ for their excellent work, significant publications and the widespread use and dissemination of their research results.

Among the three lawyers who are recipients of the ‘National Excellence Award’ two belong to our Faculty: Dr. Zsuzsanna Fejes, associate professor at the Department of political Science and Dr. Anikó Szalai, senior lecturer at the Department of International and European Law.

Dr. Zsuzsanna Fejes, in the frame of Zoltán Magyary Post-Doctoral Scholarship (June 2013 – Sept. 2014) conducted the research titled ‘New forms of government, the change of state functions in the 21st century in Hungary’. She analysed the change of state functions owing to the changing economic and political environment and as the effect of globalisation. The monograph containing her research results will be published at Autumn 2015.

Dr. Anikó Szalai, in the frame of Zoltán Magyary Post-Doctoral Scholarship (Nov. 2013 – Oct. 2014) conducted the research titled ‘Challenges and possibilities of the protection of the Roma minority under International and European law’. She analysed minority protection in international organizations (UN, Council of Europe, European Union) and its applicability to the Roma minority. The monograph containing her research result will be published in English, in the Hague, August 2015.
