The Institute of Comparative Law has organized the II. Comparative Law Conference on the Independence of Judiciary and Fair Trial. Lecturers came from Szeged, Budapest, Debrecen, Pécs, Kecskemét and Geneva. The Conference was opened by Professor Péter Paczolay, the Head of the Constitutional Court oof Hungary, Professor of the Department of Political Sciences. Lecturers from the Szeged Law School included Professor Attila Badó, Associate Professor Mátyás Bencze, Senior Lecturer Péter Mezei, Assistant Lecturer János Bóka, Assistant Lecturer Márton Sulyok, Scientific Assistant Tamás Sulyok, and Samantha Cheesman, Student of the Graduate School.
During the Conference the Hungarian Edition of Professor Thomas Kadner-Graziano's "Comparative Contracts Law" (translated and edited by János Bóka) was also introduced to the participants.
The success of the conference was testified by the high number of participants and the interesting debates conducted by all the participants during and after the presentations.
