Benedek TÓTH assistant lecturer earned his law degree in 2006 at the University of Szeged Faculty of Law and Political Sciences. He started his law career in a law office as attorney. Later he worked as a lawyer at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour, and then in law office again. He began his doctoral studies in 2009 at the Department and the Graduate School of the Faculty of Law within the field of global trade regulations. He is lecturer at the Department since 2012.


His researches focus on the fields of private and public regulations of global trade, and within this framework, particularly on the global legal system of World Trade Organization. In these fields he held lectures in many national and international scientific conferences. Among his publications, the study titled Core Labor Standards in Global Trade Law published in Hungarian in Európai Jog (European Law) 2011/4., The Fundamental Act of Hungary and the International Sources of Law is under edition (expected release: In: The New Hungarian Constitution and Reforms in Legal Life. University of Szeged Faculty of Law, Szeged, 2012.), a study with title of The Changing Relations of Law and Economy is under preparation.


He is fluent in English and speaks conversational in German.
