Case-solving Competition in the Field of International Trade Law

The Department of Private International Law with the support of HVG-ORAC Publishing Ltd. announced its annual case-solving student contest for the spring semester in the field of international trade law, on which many accurate applications have been arrived until the deadline.

The Department of Private International Law with the support of HVG-ORAC Publishing Ltd. launched annual case-solving student competitions with tradition-making purpose in the field of private international law in autumn semesters and in international trade law in spring semesters. The cases can be solved by using the required learning materials (material of the lectures, compulsory literature). The relevant applicable legislation is indicated at the end of cases. As awards, the three best resolution giving applicants gain certificate and extra points on examinations at the end of the semester. Solutions are welcome not only from the current students on the course, but anybody who would like to participate in the tournament.


The Department with the support of HVG-ORAC Publishing Ltd. announced previously, at the beginning of the semester its annual case-solving student contest for the spring in the field of international trade law. The solutions could be submitted until 12 pm 13th of May 2012 via e-mail and until the deadline we have received many accurate applications.

 

The actual case to be solved related to the field of international trade law that has been taught within different subjects during the semester depending on chosen curriculum modules.

 

The awardees of the Case-solving Competition in the Field of International Trade Law in the 2nd semester of 2011/12 academic year are:

 

1st prize: Balog Balázs

 

2nd prize: Bandur Péter

 

3rd prize: Solymár Anna

 

Contrary to the announcement of the contest (the applicants giving the three best solutions gain 6 - 5 - 4 plus points at the exam and win the book-award of HVG-ORAC Publishing Ltd.), 1st prized Balog Balázs deserved exam waiver and offered “excellent” note for his outstanding solution. On the exam receives 2nd prized Bandur Péter +4 points, 3rd prized Solymár Anna +3 points. All awardees deserve the book-award of the HVG-ORAC Publishing Ltd., which could be received at the Department.
