The training is set up by Prof. Horst-Peter Götting und Prof. Éva Jakab within the frames of the cooperation between the University of Szeged and the Technische Universität Dresden. The first students of the programme will arrive from the "
International Studies in Intellectual Property Law" LLM training organized by the TU Dresden. Students will have the possibility to spend the fall/winter semester (starting in 2013 October) in Szeged and study from the experienced lecturers of the Faculty of Law, Hungarian practitioners and professors from other European Union member states.
The programme offers students to deepen their knowledge on the history and modern feathures of intellectual property law. The list of courses include compulsory and elective lectures, including classes on the international and European Union framework of copyright, patent and trademark law. Courses focus both on the historical aspects of IP and actual, vital EU and global issues. Students are required to take 3 exams. As an addendum, students will visit the leading Hungarian Intellectual Property Office, collective rights management associations, and IP related law firms during the semester.
The tuition fee for a semester is 450€/person. (The costs of travels to law firms/Hungarian Intellectual Property Office in Budapest are paid by the students.) The programme organizers will help students in looking for accomodation in Szeged.
