Curriculum Vitae

Senior lecturer Dr. Orsolya Fekete was born in Törökszentmiklós (Hungary) in 1979. After her high school years in Szolnok, where she majored in special mathematics, did she turn to the humanities and commence her legal studies at the József Attila University of Sciences (today: University of Szeged). In 2003 she graduated summa cum laude with specialization in European law.

Both legal academia and practice in law forms and inspires her professional legal career from the very beginning. After graduation she stayed loyal to her alma mater carrying out academic work. In 2004 she was appointed assistant research fellow, in 2007 assistant lecturer, and in 2011 senior lecturer of the Public Administration and Financial Law Department. In 2011 she earned her PhD.

She participates in the lecturing and examinations of the main sections of administrative law and also holds public administration practice courses. She leads optional courses on topics such as health management, electronic administration in public administration, consumer protection, the protection of consumers' rights by means of administrative bodies and takes a major part in the Legal Assistant Training.

So far her professional publications were mainly concentrated on topics relating to consumer protection with an administrative view and in addition she published lecture materials for legal assistants. Her PhD’s title is The activities of supervisory bodies in Hungary in some areas of consumer protection – with an outlook on the possibilities solving the systemic level problem.

In addition to the theoretical work she practises as a lawyer.
