In September 2014, twenty-one students arrived from two Chinese partner universities (Shanghai University of Political Sciences and Law, Shanghai International Studies University) to participate in an English language training program of the University of Szeged, Faculty of Law and Political Sciences. In addition to the legal and economic studies the Chinese students had also an introduction to Hungarian culture and language in this semester.

Certificates of completion of the training program were handed out Prof. Dr. HAJDÚ József, Dean of Faculty and by Prof. Dr. KARSAI Krisztina, vice-rector of the University of Szeged, Director of the Gateway Program on the closing ceremony. MOHR Richárd and Dr. CAO Hang, Hungarian and Chinese directors of the Confucius Institute were also present at the ceremony. Dr. CAO Hang emphasized in his speech the equal importance of the knowledge and the experiences the Chinese students have gained in Szeged during their stay.
