A new master program in French is starting in Szeged with the cooperation of the Political Science Institution of Lille (Institut des Sciences politiques de Lille) and the Univesity of Szeged. This was the first time the Univesity of Szeged appeared on the French international education fair.

The Salon Européen de l’Education (European higher education fair (www.salon-education.com)) is a quite big event. More than 500 participants on 30 square meters promote themselves. The event lasted for four days (from the 24th to the 27th of November, 2011) and had more than 60 thousand visitors. The visitors mainly consisted of high school students and teachers. They received information about the opportunities in higher education. Among the promoters were French initiations from the higher education, ministries, state and regional offices, French and international organizations, different types of scholarship. Member states of the EU also presented their programs and one of them was the University of Szeged.

This was the fourth time Hungary was represented at this fair and the interest was high. Many students were curious about the possibilities at the Univesity of Szeged. Most of them were about to get some information about the Faculty of Arts, medical studies, but of course there were also enquirers about the new international relations degree in French.

László Trócsányi the ambassador of Hungary who is also professor at the University of Szeged agreed with the Institution of Political Science of Lille about a new program. This new program is an International Relations degree in French which will be launched in September in Szeged. The leaders of this program are also waiting for students from France and from all around Europe. One of the best offers of this program - thanks to that agreement - is that those who finish it will get two diplomas, one from the Univesity of Szeged and the other from the Univesity of Lille.
