The State and Legal Scientific Section of the 30^th National Scientific Student Competition ended on April 20. The students of the Szeged Law School received 5 first place, 1 second place, 2 third place and 9 special prices on the conference organized by the Pécs Law School. Our faculty was represented by 32 theses of 33 competitors and by 19 opponents.

On the closing ceremony of the conference Dr. Imre Szabó, the Dean of the Szeged Law School, took over the reel that contains the request to organize the following national conference. It became therefore official: after one and a half decade our Faculty will host the noble contest.

Dean Szabó stressed in his speech that it is the role of the universities to preserve and augment the knowledge at all times, which guarantees that today will always exceed yesterday and tomorrow will always be better than today.

The perfect organization of the conference by the Pécs Law School challenges the Szeged organizers. We are certain that Szeged will also enrich the line of the student competitions by a memorable, colorful and enjoyable event.
